Project Update

3033 Chain Bridge Road represents a unique opportunity to transform the former AT&T campus into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood that reflects the community's vision for Oakton's future. The proposed neighborhood will bring new homes, neighborhood-serving retail, parks and open spaces, community gathering places, and enhanced pedestrian and bicycle connections to create a more connected, walkable destination for residents and visitors alike.

After two years of collaboration with neighbors, community organizations and Fairfax County staff, the project team paused the entitlement process to further address community and transportation feedback and refine the proposed plan. That additional work resulted in an updated proposal that reduces projected traffic impacts while preserving the priorities identified throughout the planning process, including affordable housing, tree preservation, publicly accessible parks and open space, neighborhood-serving retail and community gathering spaces.
